Local Pixie Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Local Pixie! By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Membership Eligibility

1.1 Application Process:
Membership requires submitting an application, passing an identity verification process, and undergoing a background check for criminal activity.

1.2 Eligibility Criteria:
To apply, individuals must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.

  • Be legally separated, divorced, or single. Married individuals are not eligible for membership.

  • Meet the standards of our discretion for potential compatibility and likelihood of successful matching.

1.3 Acceptance of Membership:

  • Approval of membership is at the sole discretion of Local Pixie.

  • Applicants will be notified within 1-2 weeks if their membership cannot proceed. In such cases, any fees paid will be refunded minus a $5 service fee to cover administrative costs.

2. Membership Fees and Subscriptions

2.1 Recurring Membership Charges:

  • By subscribing, you authorize Local Pixie to charge your account on a recurring basis (monthly or quarterly, as selected).

  • Charges will occur on the same date each billing cycle until you cancel or modify your membership.

2.2 Cancellation Policy:

  • You may cancel your membership at any time by submitting a cancellation request in the Membership Services area.

  • Cancellations will take effect on the last day of the current billing cycle. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of the billing cycle.

2.3 Pause Policy:

  • Memberships can be paused by submitting a request in the Membership Services area.

  • Pauses will take effect on the last day of the current billing cycle, and billing will resume upon reactivation.

3. Craft Date Matchmaking Services

3.1 Service Disclaimer:

  • Craft Date Matchmaking services are not guaranteed. Local Pixie will make every effort to fulfill 1:1 matchmaking requests with the best possible match based on compatibility and availability.

3.2 Refund Policy for Unfulfilled Matchmaking Sessions:

  • If a suitable partner cannot be paired within 60 days, members may choose:

    • A refund for the specific Craft Date matchmaking session fee.

    • An extension of the search period by an additional 30 days at no extra cost.

    • Complimentary participation in a Mix & Mingle or Elevated Dinner event as an alternative.

3.3 Limitations on Refunds:

  • Refunds apply only to the specific Craft Date matchmaking session fee and do not include general membership fees or other services.

4. ID Verification and Background Check

4.1 Process:

  • All applicants must provide accurate and up-to-date identification for verification purposes.

  • Local Pixie reserves the right to conduct background checks for criminal activity as part of the membership screening process.

4.2 Disclaimer:

  • While Local Pixie conducts identity verification and background checks, we cannot guarantee complete accuracy or predict member behavior. Members are responsible for exercising caution and discretion in their interactions.

4.3 Confidentiality:

  • Background check results and identification information are handled with the utmost confidentiality and will not be disclosed to third parties except as required by law.

5. Services and Discretion

5.1 Matching Services:

  • Membership does not guarantee a match or participation in events. Matches are determined based on Local Pixie's discretion and the compatibility of available members.

5.2 Event Participation:

  • Participation in premium dating services, including Craft Dates, Mingle & Music, and Elevated Dinner experiences, requires completing a complimentary consultation with a Local Pixie representative.

5.3 Right to Decline Service:

  • Local Pixie reserves the right to decline membership or event participation at any time if applicants or members fail to meet our eligibility criteria or engage in conduct deemed inappropriate or harmful.

6. Refund Policies for Membership and Events

6.1 Membership Refunds:

  • If Local Pixie cannot proceed with your application, your monthly fee will be refunded minus a $5 service fee.

  • Approved memberships are non-refundable once activated.

6.2 Event Refunds:

  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the event to be eligible for a refund.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for a refund.

  • No refunds will be issued once the event has been attended.

7. Disclaimer for Third-Party Venues

Local Pixie partners with third-party venues for events but is not responsible for incidents, damages, or liabilities that occur at these locations. By attending, you agree to release Local Pixie from any claims related to:

  • Food allergies or dietary issues.

  • Venue-specific policies or service quality.

  • Accidents or injuries on venue premises.

8. Disclaimer of Guarantees

8.1 Matchmaking Services:

  • Local Pixie does not guarantee that members will be matched, find a partner, or form a successful relationship through our services.

8.2 Event Outcomes:

  • Local Pixie cannot guarantee specific outcomes or connections during events or dates.

9. Confidentiality and Privacy

9.1 Data Handling:

  • Local Pixie is committed to protecting your personal information. For details on data collection, use, and storage, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

10. Termination of Membership

10.1 Voluntary Termination:

  • Members may terminate their membership at any time by providing written notice through the Membership Services area or by emailing cancel@localpixie.com and providing your full legal name and address.

10.2 Termination by Local Pixie:

  • Local Pixie reserves the right to terminate memberships for violations of these Terms, inappropriate conduct, or any other reason deemed necessary.  You will receive notification via email.

11. Limitation of Liability

Local Pixie is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in our services or events, including but not limited to emotional distress, financial loss, or disputes between members.
